Easily Gallagher's most famous and recognizable model, this Doc Watson sports an interior label in hand written calligraphy reading "1st Merle Watson Festival 1995, Crafted by Don Gallagher". This Doc Watson model features a Sitka spruce top with forward scalloped x-braces, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with snowflake inlays, ebony bridge with drop-in saddle, Schaller tuners, and a florentine cutaway. The guitar has had the bridge re-glued, a full refret, and sports an active pickup system; cosmetically there is some minor finish checking. 1.760" nut width, 2 5/16" string spread at the bridge. Comes in a hardshell case.
